Design, Development, and Characterization of Highly Efficient Colored Photovoltaic Module for Sustainable Buildings Applications

The building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) system is one of the contributors which has enormous potential to reach goal net-zero energy buildings (NZEB) that significantly reduce use fossil fuels contribute global warming. However, limitations visual and aesthetic appearance current BIPV systems make this aspiration unlikely. This study investigates single-color-based PV modules are dull in have low photo-conversion efficiency (PCE). In order solve issue, we designed, developed, characterized micro-patterned-based multicolored (MPCPV) applicable development. Our newly developed MPCPV module exhibits an aesthetically attractive flexible color suitable for industrial application. Furthermore, possesses 9.6%, 4.1% higher than a single-color (5.5%) but closer conventional thin-film modules. addition, other output parameters, such as short-circuit (Isc), open-circuit voltage (Voc), maximum power (Pmax), fill factor (FF), indicate our colored modern infrastructures will enable generation on-site without compromising appearance. Finally, research substantial influence on NZEB play important part development sustainable environment.
